Offer:
- Starting young horses
with ground work, starting under saddle, starting over jumps,
starting in harness.
- Round
penning, ground driving, light lunging.
- Specific problem
solving (example: fear of fly spray, fear of blankets, barn sour,
rearing, bucking etc).
- Advanced finishing
training for older horses .
- Beginner to advanced
hunters/jumpers, dressage up to 4th level, beginner gaited horses,
beginner to advanced driving, trail training.
- Training rides for
schooling over fences.
- Training horses to
load into horse trailers.
2024-2025 Hourly Horse Training Rates at Your
Farm
$40 per
hour
No extra charge for travel if you are in a 15 mile
radius of Charles City, VA
Call for fuel rates outside of the 15 mile radius. We only
charge for fuel used.
I prefer that owners are present during training
sessions. This is for safety reasons and also allows me to explain
my methods. I welcome and encourage owner participation and
questions!

Boarding & Training
- Horse training is
charged per session
- $30 per hour at our farm, ($40
per hour at your farm)
- Training sessions can include
ground work in preparation of riding or driving. Starting young
horses under saddle, over fences or in harness. Also trail training
is available
HORSE BOARDING!
$500 a month for full care; includes stall, daily turnout in
individual paddock, 2 feedings a day, hay &
grain.
$450 a month for pasture boarding; includes run-in shed, two
feedings a day, hay & grain included
We do individual turnout whenever possible. Or very small
turnout groups of 2 to 3 horses only
Show Coaching

Professional show coaching for rated and non-rated hunter/jumpers
up to 3'9". Coaching for dressage up to 2nd level. Local/fun show
coaching for beginner and intermediate western.
2024-2025 Show Coaching Rates:
$10 per class. $60 minimum
charge.

Shopping
Services We Offer:
Don't go shopping for your next horse alone! Regardless if
you have taken lessons from us or not, I am able to assist in
choosing the right horse for you. We will interview you on what you
are wanting in your next horse in terms of skill, size, age, price
and what personality you prefer. I can also assist in developing a
list of candidates.
I will go with you look at
the horses your most serious about. I will evaluate his
confirmation, ground manners and will be the first ride the horse.
If I think he isn't a good fit for your riding style or if I think
he's dangerous to ride, of course I'll let you know, and the
evaluation for that particular horse will be over.
I charge a flat rate of
$40 for each horse viewed.
We highly recommend
your final candidate be given a complete exam by an equine vet. I
also recommend, especially in the case of retired racehorses, that
leg X-rays are done.
We strive to serve
our customers. We welcome your unique horse and training situation.
No matter how unruly you think your horse is, chances are we've
seen worse! We also understand rider fear and returning to riding
after many years away. We start all of our riders out slowly and
